Owner/Manager Liz Strazzera Keschl
Liz's interest in cooking and the restaurant business emerged as a young adult growing up in City Island, earning extra money working her teenage years in the local restaurants.
Deciding to take her interest in "the business" a step further Liz attended and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America. Her internship was performed at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in NYC. After graduation Liz continued to work in the culinary melting pot of NYC furthering her education, cooking and restaurant experience. Some of her work included cooking at Contra Punto and Yellowfingers, both run by Chef Brendan Walsh, working in the Corporate Kitchen for American Express top executives and helping to open and work in Cafe Equence on E. 92nd Street.
Although her experiences in NYC were invaluable, Liz settled on Long Island, where she worked in the picturesque village of Sea Cliff at Cafe Harlequin. What followed was a more demanding role at Rachel's Cafe in Syosset, where she cooked and managed the kitchen for 7 years.
Liz's most recent venture was as Executive Chef for Yvette Shandel Fine Catering, Inc. Yvette and Liz have worked together, on and off, for close to 25 years. She consulted with Yvette during that time and for the last 12 years ran the kitchen for events ranging from elegant dinner parties to more elaborate events such as clam bakes, bar/bat mitzvahs, showers and weddings. Additionally, Liz ran her own catering business, La Femme Chef, which offered full service off premise catering. Years of training and expertise both in the kitchen and in the restaurant/catering business are now brought to the table at Perfecto Mundo Restaurant!
Liz is the mother of four beautiful children, Ben, John, Jessie and Mikey. Ben and John currently work at Perfecto Mundo.
